Make the studio feel familiar.

If you cannot hear playback

1. Confirm at least one layer is enabled and that its volume is above zero.
2. Press play and check that the document position is moving.
3. Raise the iPhone media volume gradually and confirm audio is not being sent to an unexpected Bluetooth or AirPlay device.
4. Disconnect and reconnect headphones if the audio route changed while Aural Studio was open.
5. Pause playback, close the document, reopen it, and try again.

Keep listening levels comfortable. Stop playback if a sound is uncomfortable.

For binaural presets

Use stereo headphones so the left and right signals reach separate ears. A phone speaker or single-channel audio route cannot reproduce the intended binaural separation. Alpha Calm, Theta Drift, and Delta Rest use true stereo binaural pairs.

If an edit sounds unchanged

• Check that the layer you edited is enabled.
• Confirm you changed a parameter supported by that generator.
• Seek to a part of the document where its timing or automation is active.
• Pause and resume playback if the audio route changed during editing.

Documents, imports, and exports

Aural Studio stores your documents on-device. Save before closing a document, and keep an exported copy somewhere you control when moving work between devices or apps.

Only import, export, or share material you have the right to use. Aural Studio does not provide an in-app public sharing service.
